One Word
Are you a procrastinator? Yes? Well, that is the reality of many a writer. We wait for that moment of inspiration when the words come flying into our being and then flowing across the pages like magic. Isn't that something we all just imagine would happen all the time?
Well the reality is, it does not always happen that way. In fact, if it has every happen to you, please share your comments below. However, here's one thing to get you going. It takes One Word to get to the end of a chapter.
Time
Time is more than a timeline. If you focus solely on the deadline you get trapped into time. Rather than being trapped in time, take time to your advantage.
With that writing project that you now have, start with five (5) minute writes on week one. That's a total of 35 minutes of writing. Increase it to ten (10) minute writers on week two. That's a total of 70 minutes. Now ask yourself how many words can you write in five (5) minutes. The average person writes about 40 letters per minute (approximately 13 wpm), with the range from a minimum of 26 to a maximum of 113 letters per minute (approximately 5 to 20 wpm). So in week one you would have written around 175 words to 700 words.
So take the time and just think of those small moments and just write.
